MySQL Service Outage (Resolvido)

Dear Valued Clients,

 

Please note that one of our main hypervisors [Lnxsr14] is experiencing issues with its local MySQL service causing some WordPress Websites to be presented with a database connection error.

Our NOC Department is aware of this issue and is hard at work to resolve it as quickly as possible.

While the issue is being investigated, we ask that you remain patient while a solution is implemented.

Our NOC has reported the issue to be resolved.

Per their findings, the problem arose from a memory leak that exhausted the server's ability to spawn and accommodate more processors.

The leak was found and resolved.

All websites should be fully operational again.

MySQL Connection Failure (Resolvido)

Valued Clients,

It has come to our attention that one of our servers [linxsr13.webr.net.za] is experiencing connectivity issues to our MySQL server.

As a result, most websites including our own client area occasionally displays an error message, "Could not connect to the database"

Our NOC department is currently working with cPanel's specialists to locate the cause and rectify the issue.

We don’t have a fixed ETA as yet, however, we are working hard to resolve the issue and get our service back up and running.

As a temporary solution and avoid downtime, we will be manually restarting our MySQL server to force the connections.

We appreciate your patience and understanding regarding this matter.

Billing System Module Upgrades (Resolvido)

Note that we are in the process of upgrading our billing system modules. These upgrade will not have any effect on your services and shall be carried out seamlessly by our engineers.

A few features that you can look forward to!

cPanel Extended (Applies to WordPress and Reseller Packages ONLY):

  • Clients can now clone an existing website installation to modify or use it on a different domain (for Softaculous auto installer only)
  • Clients can now create staging instance from an application to test the upgrades or changes before pushing it to the live installation (for Softaculous auto installer only)
  • Possibility for clients to display the email account details for purposes of external email clients configuration
  • Clients are now able to change the password of the created Mailing Lists
  • Option for clients to preview the generated CSR (Certificate Signing Request) code

WordPress Manager (Applies to WordPress and Reseller Packages ONLY):

  • Fixed loading installation scripts if the API token and an invalid password were provided in the server's configuration
  • Resolved SQL problem with "Column 'domain' cannot be null" that might have occurred during cron synchronization
  • Corrected issue with cron synchronization during which not all the applications might have been imported
  • Installations scripts based on the created instance image will be now properly imported by cron
  • Corrected "https://wwww" to "https://www" in form values
