I want to change my domain name, can I do this?  Print this Article

Unfortunately altering an already registered domain name is not possible.

If you registered mysitedomain.co.za and you would rather have mysitedomain.com or mydomain.co.za, then you must register the new name.

This means that if you want to alter the spelling, name, TDL or want any changes to the domain name, then you will HAVE to register the new name.

So in conclusion, you will own both names that have been registered.

Once the original domain name registered is ready to expire, simply choose not to renew the registration via our Customer Zone.
